Angela Zhou - artistic director
Zhou was born and grew up in China, where she started receiving her ballet, Chinese classcical dance and Chinese folk dance lessons at her early age. After immigrated with her parents to Canada, she has kept dancing ballet and started learning modern dance training. With years of training, she was accepted by the professional training program at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre and successfully gruaduated in 2012. Zhou has never stoped trying and challenging herself, she decided to audtion the top one dance school in China: Beijing Dance Academy. Again, she got into the three-year full time master program and received her master degree in major of choreography and education with full schalorships. Meanwhile, she gained The Chinese Folk Dance Grade Examination Certificate for Teacher. At last count, Zhou has danced over 20 years at both China and Canada, she has tons of teaching and working experience with different cultural backgrounds. With such a multicultural dancing background, Zhou will share you her precious experience and bring you to the real dancing world.
Jia Pei began her Chinese dance lessons at age of 5. She holds Master of Education at Brock University and Bachelor of Dance and Education of South China Normal University. Ma has very strong fundamental dance training background in Chinese dance and modern dance. She has many experiences of teaching and choreographing, and also participate in many large-scale performances.
JIA PEI MA
Turner Norman is originally from Humboldt, Saskatchewan where he began his training under Jacquie Huck. After a successful performing and teaching career in Saskatchewan Norman began training at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre in contemporary, modern and ballet. Norman has worked with many of the industries top choreographers in hip-hop, contemporary and jazz. He now works as a professional dancer performing in Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan, teaching and adjudicating across Ontario and western Canada. Norman is a member of C.D.T.A a graduate from the School of Toronto Dance Theatre and is currently studying for his BFA at York University.
Mario started his professional dance training in Chinese classical dance at age of 12. After he went one of the best dance Acadymies in China: Shanghai Theatre Academy and successfully gained his bachelor degree in classcial chinese dance performing program. Now he studys modern dance at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, Canada. He received a big numbers of professional dance training until present. He is able to accurately teach Chinese classical dance and modern techque.
Li is a ballet piano accompanist. He creates a more professional, joyful and comfortable atmosphere.
